Behind the Scenes with Jgas – A Different Kind of Shoot

Photography for Jgas, part of the Johnston Oils group, took me well outside the typical setting and into the day-to-day world of gas delivery and engineering. It was a commission quite different from my usual work—and I loved every minute of it.

I spent the day alongside a gas engineer and a tanker driver, documenting the real, practical work that keeps homes and businesses running. From site visits to tank checks, the focus was on capturing the Jgas brand and the people behind it.

And the unexpected star of the shoot? A large, vibrant, and surprisingly graceful gas tanker—proving that strong branding imagery can come from even the most industrial of subjects.

I delivered over 200 bright and fresh photographs, to be used in marketing and press releases for Jgas.
