Branding photography for Lauren of LJM VA

I recently collaborated with Lauren, the owner of LJM VA Virtual Assistance Solutions, to create fresh business portraits and brand photographs for her online presence. Lauren supports busy business owners, often parents, and understands first-hand what it’s like to juggle running a business alongside family life.

Like many people, Lauren felt nervous about being photographed. Choosing a location she already knew and loved made a huge difference to her confidence and energy. She also loves autumn, and we were lucky to work in late autumn, with Scottish nature glowing in rich, vibrant colours.

We created a series of fun, relatable images showing Lauren balancing school backpacks and business calls at the same time, a visual reflection of the life her clients recognise so well. Throughout the shoot, I guided her carefully to highlight her best features, while also showing her the back of the camera. This helped her feel involved, reassured, and confident that we were creating the right images together. This way we also quickly recognised, that one the outfits didn’t photograph well and Lauren could change without wasting our time together.

Although we worked in one main location, we found several different backdrops, adding variety and depth to her final gallery.
